Weekend warrior who has to re-plaster after professionals replaced my original plumbing in this 1980 house.PROs• price!• clever handle design• easy to use/reach switch and speed select while using• LED lights are super useful (nice touch having separate LED switch)• the 'dust surround/edge' brush seems to work very well to capture 99% dust (once you get used to how to hold the machine correctly)• solidly built• good instruction manual• overhead 'assist' spring you can attach if doing ceilings• suction 'control' wheel (nice feature. if suction too high the machine won't slide along the surface easily)• motor speed control – great range• locking on/off switchCONs• Extremely noisy (I had to wear ear protectors just for testing the motor without actually sanding anything)• poor dust collection (spews lots of plaster dust at the head while not one bit of dust reached the bag)• 'connectors' at both ends of the supplied air hose and supplied dust bag are difficult to connect/disconnect and required foam gaskets (supplied) to seal properly. I am so happy with the price, I can ignore this.I'm a DIY kind of guy, so I decided that fixing it was better than the hassle of returning it. I took apart the handle/dust hose and found two problems:• There's a plastic 'pipe' inside the 'Y' from the head to the handle which connects the main dust hose to the main handle. It has a serious restriction, by bad design. The main dust hose has approximately 1-3/4 square inch opening to push dust into a 1-1/4 square inch main handle inside dust path, yet the plastic 'adapter' hidden inside the 'Y' swivel has less than 1/3 square inch opening at its narrowest! You can see the problem here. It's like trying to breathe through a soda straw. (see the Arrow in this photo)• The connection between the main dust hose and this little bracket inside the 'Y' swivel has no clamp! Just a bit of "hot glue". That and the 'restricted adapter' explains why ALL of the dust was spewing out of this connection, back onto the motor, and into the room!My take?I enjoy fixing things. It took me less than 2 hours to have it 'fixed' I just ignored trying to send the dust through the handle by attaching the main dust hose to my own long flexible hose.I'm happy with it because of the price and I only have to use it once or twice in my own home, but unless you enjoy taking things apart to make things work – I cannot recommend.

I love the power and what a great job it does cleaning those corners and scrubbing my base boards.

Rehabbing a whole house. Loved the LED light, it was a great help, made it so much easier to see the work area. The vacuum attachment kept the dust at a minimum. Overall I recommend this sander.
