VIP, be sure that the NEW coil wire at the the spark plug is straight, in other words, use a flashlight and look inside of plug wire, check that you see the wire is intact and not twisted sideways or completely missing!! This was my second attempt to repair my trimmer! The first time I did not check the wire.[what a fool] put the weed eater back together, tried to start it, nope, nothing, so back to the take down again, found the spark plug wire was twisted and not connected! The way it was manufactured is foolish and NOT repairable nor worth the effort, sent it back , new one arrived right away. all good inside, trimmer fired up on the first pull! Yippee ki yea and that was the end, it failed in Late July of this year , should have read the reviews closer, my bad, pile of junk, the copper wire inside is so thin and fragile, why bother to manufacture it other then to rip off us, BUYER BEWARE

I installed this new coil and a new carb in 6 min. This was an exact match, high quality no issues. Highly recommend. Great value for price. I left my Echo trimmer under the porch for the winter and the coil became rusted. I could have sanded it off.. but just bought new one.

on a weed eater you can fix it your self this is your problem the part is cheaper from amazon and you get faster then having to order from part place its a very good product well made and the service you get from the person who brings to you they are very nice when they drop off good job amazon
