What is the function of this switch

Compatibility

Does it support dimming function?

I recently bought a house and one of the wireless fan controllers died. Turns out poor installation techniques from the previous owner.Well, since one fan controller died- i figured let's fix this "where did my 5 year old put the remote for the fan and light" issue as well.So, I wired in 3 of these (soon to be 4th) and they work great. They click when you turn the fan or light on, so don't be alarmed when you hear it turn on the relay.

I was amazed to learn that when you have both the white and black wires inside the wall switch box, you can use this type of fan control without having to install the remote inside the ceiling fan which is huge!! most of the work and time is on that remote so you can cut the installation time in less than half!!

Needs better instructions on how to install based on wires available in the switch box. This switch has 5 wires permanently connected that need to be attached to wires in your switch box. Lucky for me, my buddy is an electrician. Other than that it works very well.

The light button is difficult to use. you have to press 2 or 3 times for the light to turn on or off.My previous remote kit would always turn on the light when the I would press the wall switch. This one does not. If you use the fan during the day (without light), come back in the room at night and click the wall switch, the light will not turn on. you will have to stumble in the dark to find the remote, click many time on the remote light switch and eventually tur the light on.Do not buy.

Was easy to install, with labeled wires. Dimmer part fine. The speed on number 1 setting no real noise. But on speed setting 2 and 3 very audible buzzing sound. Returned. This is not a remote or smart device. This is a wall switch to control on and off of lights and fan. Dimmer for lights and 3 speed fan control.

In today's world everything is over price and I picked one at a HD that did the same as this one. I thought it was $33 but it wis $60 so I put it back and ordered this one. Well worth the days wait. This HD place has been ripping us off ever since the pandemic.

Easy to install. Works great and the night light in the switch makes it easy to find in the dark.
