These are always quality little saw sharpening files...they never bite much and they never seem to last or stay sharp for long but I think that's because saw teeth are made of fairly hard steel

I have a hard time getting tringle file slim enough for what I use them for. This is just the correct size for me to grind the ends and make a scraper from it. Most are just too big to get burrs out of slots and hole that I clean out. I had ordered a different one that was bulky and gave it to a guy at work. I work as a machinist and this size will work great. Anyone who works as a machinist should order and grind this one.

The picture for the product says 12 pack, while only one comes in the mail.Besides the photo, there is no actual dimension of the product, but luckily profile is slender enough for me to file my 12 tpi hand saw. The triangular shapes does comes to a point where it will reach the bottom of the gullet between teeth. I still keep this at 1 star due to the fact that the lack of description and the deceptive advertisement on the photo.

File was a little small for intended purpose. Added a handle and it will work fine for some projects. Unfortunately, it will not serve my purpose which was to sharpen hand saws.
