1.Hour Meter Function:
•When the engine stops working, the total running time is displayed.
•The total hours max value is 99999H;Total Hours reading displays from 0 to 99999H, 0.1H accuracy;Total Hours reading displays from 10000 to 99999H, 1H accuracy.
•TOT hours are non-resettable. Automatic clearing when exceeding the maximum value.
2.Tachometer Function:
•The maximum RPM is 30000RPM.
•When the engine starts to work, record the RPM.
•Suitable for engine firing pattern 1P1R,help to adjust engine idle.

I put this on my little Champion Log splitter with a 98cc OHV engine, 4 stroke and single cylinder. Some of the reviews made it seems that it may not be reliable with a 4-stroke but it works great! I opted to use a few more zip ties than included in the package but I wanted my installation to be clean. It records RPM and tach time accurately. It is very durable construction.

My zero turn mower had an hour-meter that decided to die. The manufacturer replacement was $69!This cost way less and does the job. It works. No need to spend a fortune on other tach/hour meters. Very pleased with the first one I purchased but due to my own fault it came loose from where I chose to mount it and partially melted on the cylinder head. It still works but looked bad so I bought another. It's a quality product.

Tach and hour meter worked well for initial tuning . Mounted to chainsaw , vibration from chainsaw distorted the RPM's so you couldn't read . After an hour of cutting , tach no longer works . Hour meter still functional . Save yourself some money and buy a better product , you will only have to replace it anyway .

It’s awesome I love it. Mounted it on my 2007 raptor 350, just wrap the wire around the sparkplug wire and it will tell you how many hours and show the rpm.

Perfect color match with my generator, the tach matches the manufacture's specs and it helps me to know if my very small genny is straining. I am concerned with how long the battery will last but I don't know how long I will last either.Tach and timer for maintenance is all I need and they work work well, yes you can cut the wire to the length you need (leave a little slack tie it with zip tie provided) and I made 5 turns around spark plug wire and zipped tied tightly.I used velcro with sticky back so I can unattached if need be. I like the little fellow.

Works great on my ms390 with an open top end at 13k and loaded top end of 10.5k.Doesn't work for squat on my 2511t. I can't get a consistent reading. It'll jump from 12k to 17k to 15k to 18k every refresh period, and it's not the saw.Maybe I got a bad unit, maybe it doesn't work well on faster revving saws. I shouldn't be able to run 20k on my 2511t so I don't think it's an over speed issue.

I installed this on 2 motocross bikes to track the engine hours so I can use as a gauge for maintenance. It appears to track accurately. It was easy to install. I just wrapped the wire 5-6 times around the spark plug wire and held it together with the supplied zip ties. I then slid it up the wire far enough so it wouldn't be exposed and couldn't get ripped off. I used 2 zip ties to secure the module to the frame where I could see it. Then cut the remaining wire and used a couple other zip ties to hold it with all the brake cables. Very clean set up. Seems to be made well. We'll see how long it lasts.

Installed on an EU2200i generator and worked perfect from the start. Time in 10th of an hour intervals, and while running shows RPM on the screen for nice information at a quick glance. Really cheap addition to run a maintenance schedule on your small engines on hour usage.

Very simple to use, follow the instructions and let it work for about 5 min to get a good reading.I found a variable from running your motors cold or hot +/- 40 rpm .Worked good on small motors ( chain saws, trimmers, mowers).All In all it did the job for keeping my small machines running close to targeted RPM.
