CAN I TRIM THIS RUG PAD TO FIT CUSTOM SIZES?
Of course. This rug gripper pad can be trimmed to match custom rug sizes. Choose the rug pad that most closely matches the size of your are rug and trim rug pad with scissors to be slightly smaller than the rug for a custom fit.

At first I shied away from this because of the "Ninja" name... I don't know why, but I assumed it would be a "cheesy" knock off. Then we ordered a high priced one and were appalled at what arrived. We bough two other brands that cost 3x more and one that was almost 4x more - and the Ninja from Amazon at the same time to compare.The Ninja blew the others away.We needed something good on engineered hardwood - that wouldn't stick but still wouldn't slide. This was perfect.It's very thin... which is part of why I shied away from it at first. However, it works better than one that was almost twice as thick that bragged about it's ability to "hold firm" and slid all over the place as my dogs raced over the rug.Dogs - key factor for us. They run around and this thing doesn't budge.Moving the rug and this pad are easy peasy for vacuuming. Laying it down and throwing the rug over it doesn't always work so well... it does tend to move a bit - BUT it takes very little effort to lay it down and roll your rug out over it perfectly.I LOVE that I was able to trim it easily with a basic household scissor - this helped me make it about 4" smaller than the perimeter of the rugs.... (8x10 and 5x5) and have an even easier time with getting the rug/pad back where they belong after vacuuming or cleaning the floor.Not that I welcome wrinkles... but it's so perfectly thin that when under a good quality, thick rug if there happens to be a little wrinkle when you put the rug back down - you won't know it. Even better is that when under a heavy rug (we have it under two thick Safavieh - this likely wouldn't work under a thin, lesser expensive rug) you can pull on it if there is a wrinkle and it will straighten out instead of just sliding all over the place.NOTE: most of them were like the foam liner you put in drawers.... very foamy and cushy. This is thinner and seems to have more of a "grip" to both sides. Not sticky - but just enough to hold to the floor and to hold to the rug.Bottom line - Ninja all the way. We just did a remodel and I'll be getting these for every rug we have yet to purchase.

I like that it’s thin, and it does help keep the rug in place. But it can still slide a bit. Would recommend

On the positive side this rug pad was easy to handle and trim to size. It did feel more substantial than other products I have used in the past. However the runner I have placed on it does tend to move. Overall a good product but not totally effective.

I have two thin Persian rugs that I break my neck on every time I step on them! In a fit of frustration I looked for nice, thick, stay in place, pads. Sadly my budget didn't allow for that as as option. So I ordered the most cost-effective pads. They looked so thin! I didn't expect much but... They work GREAT! I was actually able to pull a vacuum over them and they stayed put!! No more neck breaking scares! And they came in just a couple days!! My only complaint: they weren't cut exactly straight (or my rugs are wonky) so I had to lay them a little off center to fit under the rugs. Very happy and wishing I did it sooner.

Almost didn’t buy this because of reviews from others saying it wouldn’t hold their rugs to the floor.I bought it for a new rug that we bought that is near our front entranceway . It’s in a main walking area and works great. Our young grandkids are over for every other wknd and they play a lot there, with our rug runner always sliding all over the place. Now that we put this underneath the rug, it’s finally staying in place. I should’ve bought this a couple years ago!

This was vacuum packed which made it pretty wrinkly but once we laid it on the floor it straightened out pretty quickly. We bought the 8 x 10 foot size and since many carpets aren't exactly true to size we had to cut a bit off around the carpet which is better than it being too small. It is being used to keep the carpet from slipping rather than adding an extra cushion since it is pretty thin. Can't advise on the durability aspect since its only been down for a couple of days.

This is a very thin rug pad, quite the opposite of what was listed. It holds a rug in place but does not provide any cushion when you walk on it.
