Easy to clean and works well. I can’t do huge batches on my set up so this works well for my primary. The straps/ harness we up are a bit fiddly to get positioned and it always feels a little sketchy / unstable move in the harness even with the straps positioned correctly. but so far so good and the straps are clearly a step up from just trying to grab it and move it around without them!No issues with the lid. All good and brewing tasty beer! I have done 3 - 4 batches so far?

It is so nice to finally see a high quality glass fermentor. Thick glass with gallon markings and designs that enhance the wine making process. Keep up the good quality Poland and thank you Northern Brewer !PS : Don't forget the carry handles. This thing is heavy when loaded. Cheers !!

This is another item I'm glad I bought. I have a plastic carboy with a big mouth but I really like this glass carboy. The big mouth makes cleaning super easy. It's heavy so it isn't for wimpy people.

I love the big opening on this carboy. It is super easy to add ingredients (hops, fruit, etc.) and the same to clean it. Being glass instead of plastic should make it more durable and definitely easier to keep clean. The one down side I would give this is the lid. I have not figured out a good way to get the lid to stay on once I rack to this carboy. The lid has a tendency to slowly lift on one side. I had to place weights on it to get it to stay sealed. Fix the lid issue and this is a 5-star product.

Currently have 2 of them full of Blueberry blackberry mead to be specific. They are heavy especially when full. Plan ahead. Being hand blown glass there are some slight differences in the throat. Means some seals are slightly tighter then others. Plan accordingly.

I have to put a weight on the top to keep the lid down and sealed well. Without the weight the lid pops up a little and the seal is broken. I really like this fementer and will keep it even though I need the weight. The size is perfect and it's easy to clean.Update 6/28/22 - The big mouth bubbler has now ruined several of my brewing days. Instead of spending time watching my brew ferment away, I spend it cleaning up big messes. Even with weight on the lid it still pops out and makes a HUGE mess. I bought it for easy cleaning but that dream is now down the crapper! Unless they fix the lid I would not recommend. By the way, the carrying strap is a joke. You'll have to clean it too once this fermenter overflows all over the place.
