I use these notebooks at work, (Police Officer). I've been doing this 24 years and in my opinion, they are as good as any other notebook I've ever used. The covers are heavy cardboard and stiff. I beat up notebooks, in and out of my cargo pockets a thousand times and the top bound holds fine. They are a keeper!

I used Portage Notebooks everyday for over 20 years while in the newspaper business and found them indispensable. They are a great & easy way to record and save written information. I prefer the 11/32"-ruled version to the 1/2"-ruled as they offer more lines per page. The spiral binding at the top makes it simple to flip the page and continue on the back side. Easy to tear off the page if needed. The thicker card stock for the front & back covers keep the pages well protected. The overall size fits nicely in a coat pocket, purse, computer case, etc. Now that I am retired, I continue to use these handy notepads for everyday things I need to keep track of, such as, jotting notes while on the phone, grocery lists, billing info for my freelance work, etc. A great product from a great, reliable company. Highly recommended!

The classic reporters notebook. In every newsroom I've been in, there is a box of these ready to be grabbed and every reporter has a drawer full of filled notebooks to help recall every story they've reported on. This is the perfect notebook to stick in your pocket, briefcase, purse or glove compartment. I keep one in my camera bag to make notes of peoples names and places.

Price point is twice what it should be based on 8.5x11 70 sheet spiral pads. But comparable to market. Better quality and sturdier than most. I'll continue to by till I get a digital notepad.

Great value for the price, works perfectly for what I needed: a "field notebook" to carry around for work. Make sure to read the description when picking sizes-the lines in the wide ruled version were much too big for my purposes. The seller was super helpful and responsive.

This item is exactly as described, a useful notebook and a brand that we have used at the daily newspaper where I used to work. It fits in your back pocket, there are plenty of pages, and they're thick enough that ink doesn't bleed through. Be careful turning the first few pages, because they want to stick and could rip out, but that's manageable. I wish I had paid attention to the "wide ruled" part of the description. The lines are half an inch apart, like one of those elementary school composition books. These pads are good for any kind of list. Fit easily into a pocketbook. The back is sturdy so you can write without having to look for a place to lean. The top bound spiral allows you to keep several lists at the same time. Great value.
