Your cart is empty.The Cole jaws are a very versatile set designed primarily for the re-chucking of bowls to remove chuck marks or to re-shape the bottom of bowls that have already been turned. The Cole Jaws come with a set of extra long mounting screws, which enables you to mount the 50mm, Step, and 100mm jaws onto the face of your Cole jaws, allowing you to do you bowl from start to finish with out changing jaws. All the facilities of the other jaw sets can be fully utilized in conjunction with the Cole jaws. These jaws more than any other really begin to explore the tremendous versatility of the Nova Chuck. A special woodworm screw (optional) can be used for initial bowl mounting. With this combination of holding methods, it is possible to turn a bowl from rough blank to a completely finished smooth bowl with just this one jaw set. The Nova Chuck Cole jaw combination is the only chucking system to allow such a complete facility without any complex jaw changes or different set ups. There are a number of re-chucking options; false wooden jaws can be added, wooden dowels used or rubber stoppers which are provided with the basic kit. You can also purchase the 6030 extended bumper kit for added versatility. And finally, we have included 4 extra standard jaw mounting screws, WHICH YOU DON'T NEED UNTIL ONE DISAPPEARS IN THE SHAVINGS WHILE CHANGING JAWS!

These fit my anova chuck perfectly. There was a learning curve in using them, but now they work great and allow me to finish the bottoms of turned bowls. High quality product for a mid-skilled turner.

This works well for bigger bowls to turn off the tenon and shape the base. It's a good value to have.

The jaws work very well for holding both in contraction and expansion, which should cover the vast majority of bowl lip shapes. The only issue I had with them were that the mating surface that sits on the chuck wasn't perfect, meaning that I had to loosen and tighten the screws several times to get the jaw faces nearly coplanar. Because of that, their recommendation of a max speed of 1000 RPM seems a bit high, but jaws like this really aren't intended to be taken very fast anyway, so that's not really a huge problem.

Attn: IF your lathe has a 10" max swing, you should go looking for the 8" mini Cole jaws by Nova. This set is no joke, Now I can finish up some bowls that have been waiting to absolutely complete. the 8" Nova Cole Jaws just wasn't large enough. and I have a 12" swing.

Can't go wrong with Nova products. Precision, quality as always. I have the smaller cole Chuck and added this to allow for larger bowls. Worked as expected.

I debated whether to give a 4 or 5 star review. These are incredibly useful and mine were accurately machine, I just wish the bumpers were a slightly harder material, but then again, if they were, they might cause a problem I don’t foresee. If you turn a lot of bowls and don’t want to mess with a vacuum chuck these can’t be beat.

I bought them to finish the bottom of large openings hollow forms. So I'm using them in the expansion mode. They do not provide a very strong grip in this mode, unless you use the tailstock until the last tiny bit is removed. One reason is that the rubber bumpers are too soft. I suppose that for holding bowls in the compression mode, they would work as expected. Overall they are of good quality expected from Teknatool products.
