  • The tapping process needs to be cooled down with water or coolant to reduce tapping losses
  • The speed is controll by the hardness of the material. The higher the hardness of the processed product, the slower speed
  • The purpose of the product is to avoid the displacement and sliding of the machine body due to vibration and effectively reduce noise
  • Suitable for anti-vibration products, automotive industry, heavy machinery, electronic equipment, instrumentation, etc
  • Note: before tapping, confirm that the diameter of the round hole is appropriate. If the hole is too small when tapping, the tap will wear more and increase the risk of tap breakage

Ordered this to do a restoration job. I used this on two rusty old sockets and they cleaned up the threads like new.

This tap claims to be 3/4 NPT, (National Pipe Tapered). However it is a straight cut tap not tapered. It seems to be about 14tpi, which would be correct for both NPT and BSP, however I cannot determine the thread angle, it could be 55 degrees (BSP) or 60 degrees (NPT).The quality itself is very poor, with blunt cutting faces and some damage to the threaded portion. It may prove useful cleaning up a 3/4 BSP parallel thread but that's assuming the thread angle is 55 degrees.Save your money and avoid is my recommendation
