Some tools you hold in your hand and it feels like it doesn't move easily or it feels flimsy. This is not one of those tools. This feels like a nice pair of pliers almost, and it doesn't have the weird rubber pads that a lot of these have that tend to feel gunky after a few years. It multiplies the force of your hand through mechanical advantage and lets you crack through crab and lobster shells easily and precisely. It also comes with a nice metal pick for pulling crab meat from the shell. This is just a well made version of the tool you're used to using in restaurants.
