I really like the idea of one tool to handle small and large nuts. Took a while to find the sweet spot for each nut and still required great strength to crack even the filberts/hazel nuts.

The cracker is very solid and nicely polished, well made. Classical design of this type makes it hard to use, in fact. The front hinge area is too closed together that forces the handle to be open very wide to get nuts in place. This makes it hard to grasp and put force to crack the nuts. The larger opening is towards the middle of the cracker, and that leaves very little leverage for power. Opening regular walnuts are fine, hazelnut can fit in the smaller front opening and is easy to open. If the nuts are large and strong, like the Brazil nuts, this is not going to be easy, regardless how sturdy the tool is made.
