My wife ordered this for me because I love eating Pecans and the way it would cracks the shell on one side then turn the nut around and Crack it once again and 90% of the time it doesn't damage the Pecan seed and cracked 35 at first and each nut was set aside to be used to make a Pecan Pie and working on doing another 35 to make 2 Pecan Pies.This is worth the price and heavy metal where just love it.

I recently purchased a nutcracker with high hopes of effortlessly cracking. While the functionality of the nutcracker itself is commendable, I must express my disappointment with the plastic handle, which emits an incredibly unpleasant and off-putting smell.The offensive odor is strong enough to distract from the overall positive experience of using the nutcracker. The plastic handle's pungent smell is reminiscent of chemicals and has proven to be quite persistent, even after repeated attempts to wash and air it out.The unfortunate choice of materials for the handle significantly detracts from the product's appeal. It is regrettable that such a simple yet crucial element, like the handle, was manufactured using plastic with such an overwhelming and unpleasant scent.

Bought this during the holidays for kids to crack nuts and it works perfectly fine. We have cracked hazelnuts, walnuts, pecan nuts, Brazil, nuts, and pistachios with this. Have you have been using this almost every week since last two months and it has worked well.

This looks good for regular nuts, but I am not sure it can crack a black walnut (VERY HARD SHELL), I'm fearful it will break if I try. I have not tried to crak any nut shells as yet, but it seems sturdy and easy to use. no diretions enclosed, BUT it is very self explanatory, so it would not need directionsIt seems very simple and easy on the hands, but if the shell is super hard, then i think it would be difficult or might break the apparatus..

I have had a pecan sitting on a plate, just waiting to be cracked open!Every nutcracker I tried was a total fail: this one nut defeated them all!...a cheap traditional Chinese-made cracker would not even hold this nut in place....a hammer and a wooden board, one hit, and the cannon went off! I betcha all 140 residents, in my studio apartment building heard that one blow. the nut rolled away!...a crab-claw cracker could not do it.So here I just now got this device and I inserted this one pecan and then squeezed. Viola! the nut cracked! Even better, this nut split such that both halves of the kernel came out whole! I have always had trouble with cracking pecans where the nut cracks open at the mid-line and the meat is in both ends and very hard to get out. I despaired at ever eating my tree-fallen pecans since last fall. I could not crack them open!Now I hope to.
