Direct replacement for my blown door bell transformer. I'm happy that the bell works again. Switching it is simple if you have basic electrical knowledge. Make sure you turn off your breaker to prevent getting zapped. You're going from standard 110v into the transformer and low voltage out.

Product works great,doorbell chime works again.Easy to install,but obviously not well packed,it's pretty hard to bend the tabs.Thankfully it mounted to wall plate.

At 77, I cannot hear the doorbell. I had torn out my old doorbell wires and spent a bundle to get new wires put into my 100 yr old house. When the doorbell was installed, I could barely hear it. Several appointment people showed up to my house and I did not hear the doorbell, sitting in the next room! Needless to say, they weren't very happy, but neither was I. I missed important calls. Now I've bought a more expensive model and hope it works well. My hearing is going, but no matter what, for a 2500 sq ft house, the tone is too low. We'd never hear it upstairs.

The transformer works fine, but I think it was very lucky that it worked at all. The mounting tabs were bent 45° indicating that it took a very rough ride. Packaging was minimal, and needs more protection.
