I purchased this to replace another scanner. The old scanner would not clear a permanent code for a minor emissions leak. My mechanic told me the scanners need to have the latest software to be able to function fully. So, thanks to the need for updated software, I purchased this reasonably prices unit. And it did it's job. I was able to clear all the codes including the previously inerasable permanent emissions leak code. I'm happy with the purchase and have recommended to my friends.

I found this scanner to be well built and functions OK. But it did not meet my expectations of clearing errors and dashboard warning lights like I expected to.

This scanner worked perfectly for my old 2005 Toyota Sequoia. Codes were read and then cleared with ease. I am sure there are more expensive scanners with more features but this worked great for me and I don't need to spend a lot of money on a tool I won't use that often.

This scanner does everything that has been described. I like that the scanner was powered by the vehicle battery instead of regular alkaline batteries or Nicad.Unfortunately, I choose to return it for the following reasons maybe being in that lower price range. I was looking for a charting feature, it would be nice to compare both oxygen sensors against each other. The function description was in mechanic terms, such as 02B1S1 (02 bank 1 sensor 1). And lastly, there were no updates for this scanner.I did find a scanner that I like for an additional twenty dollars. Disclaimer, I do not work for this firm or have received any compensation for recommending this scanner. It's an Ancel AD530 scanner which does all the above items plus being a scanner. The only weakness is the scan rate of the graphics could be slowed down a bit.
