I bought this after my car didn't pass smog. I read the codes had them fixed and it passed. I didn't have to pay mechanic for a diagnostic test just told them what I needed done based on the code and it worked great.

Does what is says-pulls the code. Annoying, as repair instructions are referral to local dealer...then 'recommended' maintenance for your car at local dealer....really? I bought this for help to do repairs myself.......Funny thing, that same dealer already declined the repair as vehicle is over 12 years old.

I really like my obd2 scanner it's comfortable to hold, gives easy to understand feedback and the price was definitely right. But I did realize that I need to upgrade to a bidirectional scanner for my car needs.
