I bought this for my husband, as a father's day present. He collects coins and precious metals. To say he was happy with his gift, is an understatement. I went with this one after researching for a while, mostly because you could zoom all the way out and see the whole coin, whereas, a lot of other options didn't have that feature. It's very easy to use, holds a good charge, zooms in really well, and the images are good. Would buy again in the future!

Quality construction and ALMOST perfect for photographing coins. The manual tells you how to setup the scope for photographing a full-size dollar coin but, it's kind of cheesy what with clamping the scope arm at the top of the post and the camera at the bottom of the scope body. All they had to do was make the post about 2 to 3 inches taller. Other than that, it's a really good scope!

This digital microscope is almost perfect. I use it for coins, jewelry, and such. At this price point, I did not expect much but am quite impressed. Oddly, you have to either have the lights plugged in to an electrical source or you have to have it running on the scopes battery. Either way, the battery life is not the best but again, at this price it is a no-brainer.

It’s easy to use in overall not bad But: poor image quality of an object you are takinga picture of.Bright halo appears on picturesFor checking errors on coins or just magnifying something I would say it’s a good use but definitely not for taking a picture of a coin

I was given a different microscope for Christmas, and it had some issues so I sent it back. I also wanted to get one that can see the entire coin.When this one showed up, I was impressed because it seemed like it's good quality, and so far so good. I can't quite see an entire half-dollar- sized coin when all the way zoomed out and with the neck flipped over, but that can be addressed fairly simply by putting the coin on a lower surface than the stand.The lighting options are ok, but they're pretty limited. I usually use a separate flashlight to optimize the lighting.The focus is great. I have no problems there.The microscope comes with an SD card. Fortunately I have an SD card adapter so I can put it directly into my PC instead of having to put it into my phone. I haven't tried the microscope hooked up to the PC yet though.
