I almost purchased a new chair because the old "standard" wheels on my chair were impossible to move around on without constant adjusting & readjusting the chair position, swiveling every which way so that it would glide across the floor. It was a constant, never-ending battle.The cost of a new quality chair is way more expensive than I had anticipated or was willing to spend. And given that my current "quality high end" chair is in excellent condition, I thought .... check & see if replacement wheels are sold for office chairs. After measuring all aspects of my current chair to make sure that any replacement wheels that I was considering purchasing would work with & fit with my current office chair. I was pleasantly pleased to find that I had 3 choices.#1, Replace with the standard cheap garbage wheels that come with all office chairs.#2, Replace with the rollerblade style, which would increase the height of the chair to a height where my chair would be so high that my legs would no longer fit under my desk or, if I were to lower the chair height so my legs would fit, my computer would be so high on the desk & I would be so low in the chair that it would destroy my neck.#3, Replace with these round wheels, which the height matches exactly the height of the chair wheels that are being replaced.Based on the dozens of reviews that I read, along with the fact that the height of these office wheel replacements are 2 & 7/8" [73 mm] which is the same height as the wheels I was replacing, I decided to purchase these. They fit perfectly, it took less than 5 minutes to remove the old wheels and replace them with these wheels. These wheels are excellent. My chair rolls smoothly and is silent now. No more adjusting and readjusting to get the chair to move. "I love my new silent smooth chair!"I literally saved hundreds of dollars by simply purchasing replacement wheels for under $30, instead of buying a new chair, which by the way, all new chairs, regardless of cost ... whether the cost is over $4K or under $100 they all come with the same cheap worthless wheels, so I would have needed to purchase new wheels had I chosen a new chair.UPDATE AFTER 9 MONTHS OF DAILY USE:I sill absolutely love these chair wheels. They continue work perfectly. The only downside is that the black coloring of the wheels has worn off in the center all around the where the wheel meets the floor, the part of the wheel that actually touches the floor is now clear. I've attached a photo of the wheels as advertised/when purchased and after 9 months of continuous daily chair use. I will leave my rating at 5 stars because these wheels continue to work perfectly and given that I really do not care about the color wearing off since the wheel color has absolutely zero impact on the wheel performance.

This changed our desk chair from an annoying, obstinate, hard to roll chair, to an easy rolling, easy to navigate, pleasure to sit in chair. It saved me a couple of hundred dollars - no need to replace the chair, just the wheels.

I had the rollerblade wheels in my chair, but they would lock up when I would shift direction.These new wheels are like glass and effortlessly shift direction.There is a bit of plastic in the construction, so I’ll be keeping my eyes open for metal versions.

These casters are almost too good. My dining room chairs were hard to move, now they will go across the floor so fast that we have careful not to run into anything.

OK, I admit, I put a lot of pressure on my chair wheels, both because I am 300+ pounds and because I spend a lot of time rolling around in my chair, but this is the first time I have had wheels that didn't stand up to it. When I first put these wheels on, they were wonderful, I think the best wheels I ever had. At 1 week they had begun to make a sound like the wheel itself was flexing; 2 weeks in I noticed I was having to work a little harder to move my chair around; 3 weeks in I decided to return the wheels, but it was the holidays and I didn't get it done in time. Now, at 6 weeks, I have to work hard enough to roll my chair that I am going to replace them. I think they are gradually softening. Probably if you looked at them you couldn't see the difference, but I can certainly feel it.So, obviously, from other reviews, if you are a normal weight, they're great. But if you are heavy and roll around a lot, I would not advise it. They may support 700 pounds, but not well.

I used to have the roller blade wheels and I loved them. On wood floors. But then I moved into a carpeted apartment and, even with a roller mat, the carpet was soft enough that the wheels would sink a bit. Enough that they hard a hard time changing direction whenever I tried to move and eventually they got forced out of alignment enough for the ball bearings to pop out. These completely solved my problem. Even with the mat slowly sinking into the carpet, the wheels have no issue turning and moving whenever I try to roll them.

These wheels on your office chair are great, only problem when I Get up on the chair it rolls away.

Problem: keine nackten Füße oder so auf die Rollen stellen, da Haut eingeklemmt werden kann.Ansonsten super Rollfähigkeit, leise und easy.

I don’t normally bother with reviews, but I’m really impressed with the quality of these. They were very easy to fit and were the same fitting as the original wheels, which helped a lot. They have a soft silicone feel outer meaning they glide easily on my desk chair mat and carpet. They also look pretty cool with the silver grey inner that can be seen through the clear soft feel outer. They will hopefully stop the desk mat moving around so much, as my original plastic wheels snagged on the edges of it all the time causing it to slip/move.For the money these are great value and have really added to the look and feel of my desk chair. They are also very quiet, which is an added plus.

In contrast to the roller-blade castors, these castors make a noisy metallic clanking sound every time I move the chair.
