I shoot a Nikon D750, mostly on auto-white balance, and most times it works great. But there are times, particularly in-doors, where it does not do a good job. I take this from my wallet and take an image, and use that for white balance in Lightroom or Luminar (the eye-dropper) and everything comes out GREAT. The size is perfect and it is easy to fit into my slim wallet. I do not use this to set white balance directly (it is small) in camera, but use it for post production, where I LOVE IT. I have only had it for a couple of weeks, so I have no comment upon durability. But at this instance, I LOVE IT.

Card is made with good quality. Size is perfect to my needs. The only regret is that I would like to have them years ago, so happy with this item.Photos looks with reach colour after correcting the white balance. It saves a lot of time. More than I expected, and price is really affordable.

Lots of reviewers said it and now I agree with them - too small. But let me qualify that, too small for "big image" use. What they do work well for is when you are tightly focused on the subject. Flowers, faces, detail stuff. In fact, it is the perfect size for a model to hold up to her face and spread all three cards out. The lanyard is nice and it keeps the three cards together.So far no color transfer. They dont seem like they would stand up to hard use but again, for what I am using them for, they are fine.My biggest gripe is that for reasons known only to Opteka, they put a sticker on the grey card effectively ruining one side. Eventually I will get it soaked off but really?

A very helpful photography tool for setting white balance & compensation exposures. Glad I got it. The compact size (the cards fit in my Tamrac 515 camera case) and ease of wearing around my neck on the provided lanyard means I carry the cards with me anywhere I take my camera; without inconvenience, bulk or a lot of extra weight. It's a great product design. Glad I bought the set - it's useful to have the white and black as well as the 18% grey cards.

The product appears well made and reasonably priced but I found them to be terribly inaccurate. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but they did not work at all when I used them. I kept getting really off tones.

I've used some great Opteka products before but this one turned out to be worse than I expected. I'm not going to say it won't work. It does exactly what it's supposed to do; help me get a better white balance at the shoot.What I'm not happy about is the condition of the product when I took it out of it's own packaging. The box was cheap, clear plastic folded into a box shape. It offered no protection. Stuffed inside that were the cards, lanyard, and "instructions". The plastic box was scratched up and looked like it had been in the console in my truck for 6 months. The cards were scratched up pretty bad too and looked like they had been stuck to the bottom of my camera bag. If I buy something new, I want the chance to scratch it up!

Wanted a small, portable card for easy carry, and wanted it to be reasonably accurate. It does both -- it compares well to the gray patches on a Calibrite (ex-X-Rite) Colorchecker, much better than similar cards from a different brand.

For the price these cards are pretty good and convenient to have in your bag. I use them for both video and photo work as a reference point when editing. They sit in my bag and I pull them out when needed. The lanyard that comes with the cards is a bit short but that has no effect on the actual use of the cards, just that I have a big head...

I shoot RAW images almost exclusively and invariably post process them in Lightroom and Photoshop. Therefore white balance can always be corrected by the software. However, it's a fairly time consuming process when tens or hundreds of images are concerned and I'd prefer to get a good idea of how realistic my colours are in the initial thumbnail previews.The main advantages of this product are that it's totally accurate and reliable, and easy to carry around and access when needed. I think the adhesive label that another reviewer went to great pains to remove was intended for focusing purposes, presumably where portraits are concerned, although I doubt I'll often use it as such.Well made and reasonably priced. I am totally satisfied by my purchase.
