I was looking for an Optical Splitter so that I could wear earbuds while watching TV without disturbing my significant other who might be reading. Since my LG TV only has one optical outlet, and that is connected to a surround sound system, I would have to disconnect the sound system and connect the Bluetooth transmitter each time I wanted to use the earbuds. This splitter solved the problem and it works great.

My TV has only one optical out, and I need to connect my stereo and also my TV streamer for my hearing aids. (My Denon amp has no digital output and won't provide analog out from a digital input.) This splitter works for the stereo but not for the streamer. I swapped cables etc, no joy. The streamer will work fine when connected directly to the TV, but not when run through the splitter. I'm returning it and ordering a different model (one that's powered - maybe that'll make a difference.)

I have been using an optical cable splitter in my home theater for around 5 years. This lets me listen to my Klipsch floor speakers along with 2 Klipsch subwoofer or my upper end soundbar. While I almost always listen to the Klipsch speakers it’s nice to use the soundbar for basic stuff like the news or a football game.Anyways my old spitter gave out and this is the first time I have ever had a cable fail! Though I did unhook it and hook it back up again. Whatever the case I bought one of these and installed it today & I was blown away by the fantastic sound quality! Maybe that old cable was subpar to begin with, I don’t know but I am so happy it gave out! My Klipsch Reference Premiere Speakers have never sounded this great! Oh and this is one nice looking and well built splitter! A+ & 5 stars across the board! This splitter rocks1ðŸ‘😎🎶🎶🎶

Used to connect a Bluetooth transmitter and leave the surround sound system intact. Scary easy to set up for two devices.

The cable works fine, but I hate when sellers advertise fake features. Gold plated suggest metal connector, this one is plastic just painted gold colour.The cable is nicely braided though. It looks solid.

I have bought "cheap" optical audio cable in the past and they were "cheap", however this cable was "inexpensive" but quality surpassed expectation. First off, its has a thick protection braided sleeve over protecting the cable. The ends of the cables is strong and clips in firmly. They also came with small protector sleeves on the actual ends of the cables and a nice fabric cable tie, not a plastic zip tie, to keep the cable neat.
