What optical audio splitter?
Toslink fiber optic audio splitter allows you to connect one optical audio source and split one into two receiving devices.Such as Power amplifier to Blu-ray players/Xbox,TV to Sound bar/Amplifier, power amplifier to PS4/CD ,Power amplifier to Digital TV/STB.
Use Correctly - 1 Input to 2 Output
- The digital toslink optical splitter allows you to connect one Toslink optical digital audio source and split into two different receiving devices.Such as connects on two amplifier. Don't support 2 Input to 1 Output.
- When you use this device as a 2-in-&-1-out signal, Not allowed opening the two input devices together,the signal will interfere each other, support one audio source only.If you want to use it, be sure to turn off one of the devices.
Reminder before purchase!!!
- Some devices with weak luminous signals and poor received signals may not be able to use optical splitter.
- Please note the TV interface if suitable with the optic square interface before purchase.
- Please remove the transparent cover before use. Otherwise it can not be inserted into the TV.
- Use the Male port as input port and the 2 Female port as output port, you can connect 2 output devices,working together.

This optical audio splitter works well, at a great price. I am very pleased with the quality of the split sound. I have it connected to a soundbar and to a wireless headset - no issues here!

I understand an active splitter was recommended, but my runs each are 3 feet each and this splitter functions as i expected. Thank you!

TV came with only one optical audio out; needed 2 for sound bar & receiver. Works fine, but did notice some sound degradation after finding another work around.

Was trying not to have to use a powered splitter, and the reviews seemed favorable that this would work. Unfortunately, that is NOT the case.I want to split between bookshelf speakers attached to TV and Headphones attached to TV without having to constantly unplug them depending on which I want to use at the time.Once connected, Initially Bookshelf speakers did not work at all (didn't test the headphones at this point). With that being a fail, I swapped the speakers to the 2nd jack and then they worked. The problem is the headphones did not get any signal with this set up. So, I swapped the headphones and the speakers and the headphones only half-worked. They kept cutting in and out and never got a clear signal, they lacked sound more than they got sound, and even when I unplugged the bookshelf speakers they never got a clear signal.As a splitter this is a fail. I will be returning the item. :(

Item was shipped quickly. Plugged it in and it worked as needed. In my case I needed to split sound from TV to a sound bar, and to headphones. Sound quality remained the same for both, and I believe with optical it either works or it doesn't. My TV optical output seemed to put out a strong signal (strong light), and from what I've read that is not always the case. With a passive splitter like this, which will probably stay in the same place, my guess is that if it works, it will continue to work. I saw reviews that were negative, so wanted to add one that made note it worked just fine for me.
