Bought this handle, new chains, and new files from Amazon Everything worked perfectly with my 25 yr old Sthil chain saw. Better than Sthil brand components and a lot less cost.

I have used files entirely too many times without the appropriate handle. This one allows you to be safer and faster

Fits had well but will only fit round files. flat files are not going in with out drilling.

These file handles are the best I've used for flat and round chainsaw files. Most others either have the wrong size tang hole or are awkward to use with a small file.

It helps you to get the pressure you need to file correctly and not wear out your fingers.The price is worth not just making your own. Very inexpensive and I recommend getting one. You will be happy wih it.
