I'm slowly learning that usually if I have a threaded hole with boogered threads I should take a minute and get this set out to try to recover what's left. I am surprised how well these work. Infact most Damaged threads still feel tight after chasing them to clean them up (tight in comparison to using a traditional thread tap which usually removes material effectively oversizing the threads.) If you have an older vehicle you are trying to fix-up or maintenance these are a lifesaver and can spare you the headache of a helicoil or thread insert repair.
