Excellent Groove Handling

The Concorde DJ is considered the jack-of-all-trades, boasting accurate sound reproduction and excellent groove handling.

• The DJ is great for any style of music. • It has a spherical stylus and an extremely balanced cantilever that provides outstanding rigidity. • Not only does the cartridge have a most sufficient tracking ability, it also provides the DJs with the most needed stringency and very low record wear.

All in all: improved tracking, alongside of accurate sound reproduction and an excellent groove handling.

How to replace a stylus

Firstly lock the turntable tone arm, unscrew the cartridge, gently remove the stylus from the cartridge and insert a new stylus. A stylus is changed usually by pulling straight out and in the opposite direction of the turntable's arm. If the stylus doesn't come with directions, try these: with one hand, hold the cartridge to steady it. With the other hand, using a pair of tweezers, grasp the stylus from both sides and pull. Install the new stylus: holding the stylus from the top, press it gently into the space at the tip of the cartridge where the old stylus had been. Don't force it.

Proper care comprises of the following:

Cleaning of record by means of carbon fibre brush before and after every use. Cleaning of record by using record cleaning machine once in a while.

Cleaning of stylus by means of a fine antistatic brush. Please remember to remove dust from the diamond tip before and after playback of each record. Use the brush in the forward direction from the rear of the cartridge towards the stylus tip and never from stylus tip to the rear of the cartridge and never from side to side.

Proper adjustment of antiskating, azimuth and tracking force.

Options and Replacement Styli

The Concorde MK2 Series is available for purchase as either a single cartridge or a "Twin" set including two cartridges (both with pre-installed styli) and an aluminum flight case.

Replacement styli for all the Concorde MK2 series retains the cartridges name for easily finding your direct replacement.

Love these and they are not my first...excellent sound quality and tracking of vinyl. I have been a fan of Concorde for 35+ years and they have never let me down. Also they are attractive to boot.

Iâ€™ve been a long time user of the lower end ortofon concord needles. I decided to treat myself to these and I wish I did it sooner. The sound quality is so much better than my old Pro S needles I canâ€™t even explain it. I had a slightly difficult time getting these installed in my technic 1210s but eventually got it sorted. Looking forward to years of sonic pleasure out of these.

I've owned a few sets of ortofon cartridges in the past. They've always been a bit finicky as far as making a solid connection with the tone arm, and I'm used to all the usual tinkering to get them coming through in stereo. This new set I ordered was actually defective in one of the cartridges. Tried it on both decks and fidgeted with it for an hour before giving up. The other cartridge worked fine on both decks, no problem, but because this was ordered as a set, I'll have to return the entire thing for a replacement set, I stead of just the one faulty cartridge. I advise ordering each cartridge individually, in case you have a similar situation.
