This works to get those stubborn pins out. Just pay attention when using it. It’s small and it’s a puller so could break easily if not used correctly.

This simple tool almost made it seem too easy to extract the two pivot pins which I couldn't figure how to pull them out. Next day delivery (free ship, prime) made it a simple extraction. I got two different tools in case this one didn't work. Now have two to do the same job. Total outlay for both was cheaper than getting one locally. Small tool, worked well. I'm not complaining at all. Good service Amazon!

Some videos indicate using one wrench, you will probably end up overtightening the pilot threads and breaking the tool. please use 2 wrenches. 1 to hold pilot bolt and other to turn the nut.

This worked great for me while I was converting my column shift from 3 to 4 speed. Took apart my Jeep's column and the donor column I had from the junkyard no problem. Just make sure to fully thread in the small threads, so you're only using the large threads to pull the pins.
