Works very well, had axle doctor come out and fix a spindle at work and said to run the nut over the threads after it cooled down. I ran it on and when removing it destroyed the outer threads on the spindle. Ordered this to repair the threads to get the axle nut back on. worked great and has a bunch of different thread pitches and goes bigger than I need to work on semis and trailers.

This tool was easy to use with no instructions right out of the box. I recently had the outside rear bearing on my F-350 dually seize and trash itself. Either on its destruction or during the removal process which involved a torch and chisels the threads on my axle housing became damaged and no matter what I tried I could not get the axle nut to spin on. Within minutes of having this tool the axle nut threaded on. Worth every penny I spent. It kept me from a full rear axle replacement.

This got us out of a pinch on a trailer wheel seal. Glad I found it. Worked great and will see further use in the shop I'm sure.

So far so good, my supervisor had one that I used all the time (same unit) and it never let me down. I highly recomend it if your a shop/field mech like myself mainly because going out blind you never know if your going to need to chase anything, also has the ability to chase literally any reasonable size out there!

Well, maybe that's a bit too dramatic, but you get the idea. This Thread Chaser is a life saver. As common as the garden hose thread is throughout the US , 3/4 in X 11.5 tpi, you would think somebody would stock taps and dies to clean up threads on your old garden hose faucet (bib) or female connecters. If anybody does they are sure keeping it under wraps or it must be illegal to sell them to homeowners or something. Don't be fooled by this chaser's specs which says it only works down to 1 1/4 inches. If screwed all the way down it just fits the 3/4 inch hose thread and it has the correct 11.5 tpi cutter included in it's thread set. You may have to remove the valve from it's riser but it recuts the threads cleanly leaving a new shiny brass (or whatever) attachment. Buying a new brass valve may be cheaper but if you believe in keeping and repairing everything you can this gadget is a real bargain.

This tool did a good job the first few time we used it, after a bit it becomes hard to keep tight, you end up needing to tighten as you spin it around the threads. For an at home use its pretty good, not sure I would by it for a shop again.
