This type of lock was extremely hard to find - a truly waterproof lock. This lock is actually made of a solid brass body with a stainless steel shackle. NO parts that will rust. I've been using it for months on an outside fence where it's been rained on (and snowed on) in very high and very low temperatures. It has continued to work flawlessly. You get 3 keys that work on both locks. Since other reviews suggested, I put a drop of WD-40 on them prior to the first use. The keys continue to unlock easily and they lock again with a slight click just as easily with slight pressure. I'd by these again in heartbeat.
