OXO seems to have a very good line of products, and this can opener is no exception. Easy to grip, easy to turn, and has (so far) opened every can flawlessly with no slip-offs or jagged edges. Very happy with this.

Has a good feel/grip to it. Nice and sturdy when opening a can, and opens the cans easily. Great price and quality overall.

Bought this can opener to replace a Cuisinart model which became almost impossible to use after several years. I am impressed with the ease in which cans are opened with the OXO. Much smoother operation, less grip strength needed and the cutter wheel pierces through the lid with no trouble. Clean, consistent opening. I'm a fan.

This was the closest can opener, in design, to the first I had 50 years ago. The old one got dull. This is sharp and is easy to crank after shoulder surgery. I expect it will last 50 years, unless they’re no longer made as well. I rated it 4 stars because I saw a few others that seemed to have a better design, and that were recommended to me. But, the others were too expensive for a simple can opener. I’m guessing that others, like Pampered Chef, might be 5 stars due to a sleek design

As a lefty this can opener has been the only one I have ever used with ease. The handles have good rubber grippers. Easy to open any type canned food. Cuts through cans with ease.

Very pleased with this can opener. I had thought my hands had gotten weaker because I had problems with my previous can opener, but it turns out that it was worn out, not my hands. As with all Oxo products, this one is easy to use and the soft grips are comfortable. Highly recommend!

This is the favourite can opener in our house and the only kind I ever buy now. Points to consider:1) I have lots of experience with can openers turning rusty after a few months of usage – not this one. It works well for years and is very reliable.2) Other can openers get yucky grime caught in the gears but not this one. I put it in the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of wear. Other can openers have been ruined in the dishwasher – but not this one.3) It is lightweight while still being strong, and the large knob is easy to turn even for kids. The handles are comfortable to hold. I can tell it is well designed and constructed with quality. It grips the cans tightly and cuts through the metal easily.4) It even has a bonus bottle opener.So many things in life can be hard – OXO Good Grips Can Opener, I am glad that you don't have to be one of them.
