About this item

  • Simplified String Changing: Cheerock's 3-hole bridge beads significantly reduce string-changing time compared to traditional string tying methods. The beads make it easier to secure the strings, preventing them from unraveling or coming loose, and allowing for a more efficient restringing process.
  • Enhanced Tone and Intonation: By increasing the pressure on the strings at the bridge, these string beads promote more abundant vibrations, effectively improving the overall tone quality. The increased string angle at the bridge also contributes to better intonation, ensuring your instrument sounds its best.
  • Versatile Sizing for Different Strings: The package includes 12 bridge beads with varying hole sizes to accommodate different string gauges. While some beads may require slight enlargement for thicker strings, the assortment ensures compatibility with a wide range of acoustic, classical, and nylon-string guitars, as well as ukuleles.
  • Protects Bridge and Extends String Life: The guitar string ties help reduce the risk of bridge deformation by evenly distributing the string tension. They also protect the bridge surface from wear and scratches, keeping it looking neat and pristine. Users have reported that these beads can help extend the life of their strings by preventing premature breakage at the bridge.
  • Easy to Install with Noticeable Results: Although the package doesn't include instructions, users find the bridge beads easy to install, especially with the help of online video tutorials. The beads produce noticeable improvements in string stability, tuning retention, and overall playability, making them a worthwhile addition to any string instrument enthusiast's toolkit.

Wasn’t sure if I liked them. But after first string change, Im sold. Need to be aware that the holes are drilled for specific string size. Thankfully the package had two sets, if you made a mistake. One big benefit of these beads is they increase the angle of the strings at the bridge which surprisingly helps intonation.

I had to restring an acoustic guitar with 3 nylon strings. The G string REFUSED to be tuned because it kept "slip-sliding away", even though I had redone it a couple times. Just kept sliding and loosening up. So, I bought these to try and resolve the problem. IT DID fix the problem. So we'll and so nicely that I removed the high E string and the B string and applied these. It made a huge difference. I was immediately able to tune the G string. It's been 3 weeks and there is no negative change. All nylon strings are firmly secured. Makes them sound better, too, which I had read on another site product description (the site I found on Amazon that had pictures of how to apply them.)I love them and would recommend them. The only "problem" is that the holes bored through them are very small AND, THANKFULLY, not uniform on all of them. If they HAD been uniform I would not have found one large enough for the nylon G string to pass through. There were only two that had holes large enough for the G string.I wanted to put these on all of the strings on the guitar, because the strings DO sound better with the different way they pass over, instead of going through the wood. (They DO go through the wood, but not straight up to the tuning pegs from the bridge. Instead, it goes through the hole on the bridge, into the little disc, the disc presses against the bridge and the string goes over the top and over the bridge up to the tuning pegs.) But, the holes weren't large enough and I haven't gotten around to boring the holes larger with my Itty bitty round file.

gave 4 stars because i had to finger drill the holes. for the price youre goona get where you need to go as long as you have a 1/16th drill bit. as usual when you try to save a buck there is extra work involved.

Amazon sells several different sets of guitar bridge beads. Some of them are probably original designs, while others are budget-quality knock-offs. The original ones are more nicely finished and come with instruction sheets and installation videos. This Cheerock set must be a knock-off. The plastic beads are sometimes roughly finished and I had to use a file to smooth out some rough plastic edges. There are no instructions so you have to improvise or try to figure it out from the product descriptions of the more expensive products. I was able to install my set of beads, but I don't like the way that the string ends stick out and sometimes poke my arm. Maybe if there were real instructions, I could have used a different knot that angled the string end differently. 3 stars.

I had considered getting these for probably close to a year. My first thought was "Why bother? The old method has worked for literally a few hundred years, right?" I decided what the heck, give it a try. I looked at several brands and decided that there really wasn't much difference, so I made my choice mainly on cost and number of beads for the money.I got them and installed them with a new set of strings. I initially followed the instructions for another brand which are shaped slightly different, i.e. the 'recessed' channel between 2 of the holes was sightly different. I realized that I was doing it wrong and fixed it.*The result? I like them, would do it again, and recommend them.1. I think it is much cleaner looking.2. More importantly, I think it is easier to restring. I feed the string through the bridge from the nut / sound hole side, attach it to the bead, and pull it tight in/on the bead. Finally, I wrap the string around the tuning peg, tighten, etc. I don't have to worry as much about the string coming loose from the bridge end. Maybe it is just me, but I always had to fight both ends of the string to keep the it from unraveling. Again, maybe that is just me. I don't know and no longer care.3. I do not seem to have a problem anymore with the wound strings having the winding separating at the bridge or at the wrap point on the tail piece as the tension increases when I initially get the strings up to tension.4. I like the angle the string has going over the bridge.* I think that the side of the bead with the "channel" should be closest to the bridge. (Another brand had better instructions, but the construction was different and was therefore not applicable to this brand.) When you get the bead fully threaded and pull the string tight, it will fall into the channel. I probably could try to explain it in more detail, but my advice is to try it that way first. Free advice and worth every penny. YYMV. Taxes and fees may apply.I expect that my next classical guitar will have a 12 hole tail piece unless I find something in my desired quality range that is a very good price that only has a 6 hole one. In that case, I will definitely use these beads on that instrument.
Useless, the holes are tooo small don’t buy it.
