I used this for several projects, one was making the holes for doorknobs. Very powerful tool, does the job in minutes. If you aren't careful, you will cut away too much wood. Overall, definitely recommend. Easy to use, just plug it in and route away.

On the one I bought the bit will not tighten enough to lock in place . When in use it slips and ruins my project . cannot get it tight enough to prevent slipping.

Bought this route to assist with replacing some interior doors and was hoping that having the router would make it easier to cut out the hinge inserts on the new doors.While it did work better than trying to carve out the hinge recesses with a hammer and chisel I had all kinds of issues with the bit slipping and changing depth at random times.It could just be that I need some practice on using a router, but locking the bit down should be pretty straightforward. The bit shifting end up leading to a lot of extra time spend getting creative to create shims for between the door and the hinges.

Solid build quality. Great for occasional use but the pro or serious wood working hobbyist will want to buy on with a built-in depth adjustment feature. With this one you can only loosen the cuff and eyeball it. The other complaint I have is that there are no directions for using the attachments that come with it.
