Well built, once its warmed up, endless amounts of glue can be squeezed out non stop(and this is at lowest temperature settings). I probably gone too far getting this kind of glue glue for arts/crafts but was tired of the tiny glue guns not having enough power to continuously squeeze out the glue when I needed it. *note- the no drip feature does work, it just drips out abit from a cold start, but once you keep it on, it will not continue to drip.

This is my first heavy duty glue gun and I am happy with the investment. I use it for both crafts and repairs around the house, it’s great for fixing moldings and such. So far I have only needed to use the lowest temp. This is a solid tool: the cord is thick, it has adjustments in temp and flow, the stand really works, and the case has an area to store glue sticks. It comes with one extra tip.

This is my second HB220 hot glue gun. By far one of the most useful tools I own. I am a Hardwood flooring contractor and use this almost every day. The gun heats quickly, delivers the right amount of glue as needed and stays hot. Especially useful when nails are not an option. Usually I use it with a combination of urethane glue in order to ensure a permanent bond. Wood to concrete, baseboard to drywall, wood to wood, it's especially important when pieces are too small to nail.My first gun lasted more than three years....

I bought this after Adam Savage praised it in a video.I have two of these, and the original (2 years old) is still performing as good as new. This is a solid purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a heavy duty full sized glue gun.It has an adjustable temperature range, as well as a feed per pull of the trigger adjustment.

This is a legit hot glue gun and is fantastic to have in the shop and has come in handy many times. It heats up quickly and gets super hot. I have been using it for the flex 40 hot glue and have seen impressive results with the strength of the glue. I tried that glue with a cheap "hi temp" hot glue gun and it did not perform nearly as well because it wasn't getting hot enough. If your on the fence just go for it you wont regret it!

Pros:- Great build quality- Ergonomic grip (w/ over-molded rubber)- Solid built-in stand- Comes with a case- Carrying case actually fits a handful of 10" long gluesticks (see pic)- Temp Adjustable- No noticeable leakage once up-to-temp. (small amount of leakage when first warming up)- 4-finger trigger- Lighted ON/OFF switchNeutrals/Cons:- LARGE. Significantly larger than I was expecting, probably because I am used to working with the smaller, more conventional glue-guns. But also because I didn't notice any picture w/ a hand to include scale. (See picture)- If you use the "generic" BLACK tip, then the red one doesn't quite fit in the same storage place... although it doesn't seem to move around when stored, so not a big deal.- I found the "adjustable glue-screw" on the back to be a little useless for my application. I was hoping that it would allow for very small droplets of glue to be dispensed with each pull instead of simply a trigger-limit. In theory, a trigger limit should work just the same, but it just didn't feel right. I'd say if you are keen to get from 50-100% glue dispersion w/ this feature then you will be happy. But if you were like me looking to get 10% or less dispersion, it's just not that accurate.

my friend gave me her 3watt , yes, 3 watt gun to stick some pine cones together for a wreath for the door at Christmas. I thought , there's got to be a better one than that. Looked at the Dewalt in HD and read the reviews, and kept going up the scale to this. I thought hot glue guns were for crafts, but no. I did see the cabinet guy on the job putting on drawer fronts with hot glue and lining them up (Euro Style cabinets). When they looked straight and the glue hardened a bit , he slid the drawer open and screwed them on. That was easier than the way I did them last, trying to clamp them. Much faster. Glued some returns on molding for window valences and it was easier than ca glue. I guess it lasts as long as any other kind of glue.Turned up the heat on it to get the glue more runny. I have to stick on some granite backsplashes, and I'll use this instead of pl2000or liquid nails which takes longer to cure. The gun leaked a blob about 1/4 inch when heating up , but that was it.It was on an hour at least, and no more drips.I took the wire stand off, and then found its better with it on. It takes a couple of minutes to get to full heat. Case is good too, otherwise it gets trashed in the back of a van, and there is a space for extra glue sticks. I like it

This thing is awesome. I like the case (it holds about 12 glue sticks) and the unit itself is pretty much maintenance free and is engineered well. I initially looked at this to fix a tile to carpet transition issue and was worried I wouldn't have any other uses for it. That worry was for naught as I am finding all types of things to fix with it: - Broken gas cap leash - Dresser slide rail broken - Table leg bolt with stripped wood - Dresser bottom panel seal - etcA little pricey, but worth the investment in my opinion.

I had to admit, my decision to purchase this particular hot glue gun wasn't necessarily a positive choice - but a negative one - ie - I was looking to buy a SureBonder product, but the shipping fees to Canada from the US alone more than doubled the price. I looked at Home Depot Canada, and Lowes in Canada, none carried the SureBonder. Acklands Grainger wanted you to buy volume. I even bought a Stanley Industrial glue gun from Canadian Tire - crap - the head would not unscrew, so it was returned. So I opted for this particular glue gun. I'm glad I did! Its great! No drip, temperature control, on/off switch, rapid heat up, and a decent hard shell carying case that even has room for the large glue sticks! I've used this thing for three repair jobs within two weeks and the performance has been great each time! I'm sure the Surebonder glue guns are great, but this FastenMaster unit, the value proposition is so much better. This is the hot glue gun to get.

I was installing a heated floor. I remember trying to use my cheap glue gun when I built my bathroom and I got frustrated as the plastic wire guides would not be held in place. This is no issue with a high temperature heat gun and quality glue. For my latest project, I bought the recommended glue stick for my Flextherm heated floor installation. My glue gun was not able to melt that glue so I purchased the HB220. I received it in a damaged case (but undamaged packing box). Amazon was very responsive to this issue. The gun itself is just perfect. I checked the temperature setting to make sure it matches the temperature range of my glue sticks (350 to 390F) and I plugged it. It is really comfortable to operate and fairly quick to get ready. The trigger can be adjusted, although I did not play with the adjustment.I am really happy with this purchase.

After spending lots of money on cheap glue guns I was ready to give up until I found this. I initially saw the product on a You Tube Review by Adam Savage and that prompted me to do some more looking. I have to say that it does not disappoint. It is nice that it has the built in stand and the heat is always constant regardless of what setting it is on. I have done a lot of glue gunning since purchasing and I have to say, this is still number one in my books.

It's something that actually works as advertised. The gun is ready for use 2 minutes after switching it on and there's no dripping of glue in between uses. The stand might be a. It bulky for getting into tight spaces but is very convenient to have. Having only used store bought 40 watt guns before this, it is easily worth the few extra dollars.
