with enough reduction, i built a sheet rock hanger and lifted 4x12 1/2 sheetrock to intall on ceiling with one, bought another to raise and lower a 110gal water pressure tank(empty). be smart, be safe, dont be under the load. more reduction also slows it down so less bounce starting and stopping. buy a bunch they are pretty cool

Great size, more than adequate power, simple install. I am using this to lift things into my attic garage. For the mounting bar I bought some very inexpensive Stanley sawhorses. I bought a pair, but only needed one as the square connecting bar between the legs fit this winch very well. The total install time was 10 minutes. And, I can move it around as needed. This was a great solution. I am very pleased.

does what it says. lifts heavy items very well. using it to lift 80 lb. tubs into the attic in the garage 15ft up. does not labor at all. remote cord a little short for the height but can reach it. remote cord 6ft. in length. very happy with this winch. don't let the size fool you. quality all the way.

Wanted something that wasn’t crazy expensive to help with getting my jeep’s hardtop off and on. This little guy is perfect. Has plenty of capacity for my two door hard top. A four door hardtop may push its limits. Would recommend.

when i set up the hoist it i couldnt get it to work and ask for a replace mentbut i had a friend come over and showed me it had a trip switch i needed to resetnow the hoist works perfectly and oh btw amazon had a replacement to me in 3 daysi like this unit and for sure would buy it again in the image you will see the hoist on a swing arm note i considering in making one myself but found a swing arm on the net that the hoist slides onto easily and has a 180 swing arc I bought the 240 lb hoist than can be mod to lift 400 lbs the one draw back is the short power cord and electrical cables since i am partially disabled I use it to lift firewood / groceries up to top floor living space 30 ft in my house

Unit only hums. Doesn’t go up or down.Hoping it’s something that I’m missing and looking for additional inputUpdate: I took the thing apart. The cover that goes on the back side was so crooked that it interfered with the fan. Reassembled and installed the cover properly. No problems now.
