I am using this in my single family home where all the rooms that are hardwired go to the basement and I needed a way to organize the cables coming in and this does that plus it also keeps the wires from being moved around a lot and helps keep dust and other stuff out. Is this necessary .... no, but it helps. I got everything hooked up and I added RJ-45 ends on the cables although I could have just swapped out the keystones so I could use a punch down type style. I printed out label using small font and they stuck well to the label area which is really small. The keystones appear to be well made. I ordered the cat 6 unshielded version and I have a 2.5 switch that I tested out after using this and speeds using iperf3 reflecting 2.5 gbps. At the end of the day this is a metal box with a lot of rj45 cutouts which is what I needed or rather wanted. I uploaded a couple pictures and it looks messy so I wanted to state that its really cold in my basement and I will get around to making everything neat and tidy when summer comes or so I keep telling myself.

Great little patch box for use in out of the way areas. Fully enclosed metal case protects one side of the keystone jacks from dust and elements.The included keystone jacks are very sturdy metal encased jacks which fit tightly and are held in place. The internal side leaves enough room for booted cables if you have them, and the reusable clips hold the cables in place and lined up perfectly. The external facing ports offer solid connections that are easy to access as needed.Perfect addition for attic/closet/basement use if you don't want to make full homeruns for whatever reason.

This is a really great 12 port patch panel. Solid construction with heavy duty metal used for all sides of the metal box itself. Inside the frame are 12 pre-mounted RJ45 Cat6a keystone couplers and very nice, reusable ratcheting cable hold-down clips. The base has multiple screw holes already pre-drilled for different mounting options. Overall, this is a high-quality unit that feels substantial and works great. Highly recommended!

I like how this 8-port patch panel is super sturdy and easy to install. The shielded keystone jacks are perfect for reducing interference, making my network more reliable.
