Between these measuring 4.83 mm and the 5 mm sockets measuring 5.35mm there was considerably play between the two 5 mm units. Seems the days of the true 5 mm diode barrel is gone. This I expected and was prepared for. For my purpose of use I removed the resisters at the diode pins and moved them further down the lead wire so I could use the nylon cups of the metal diode sockets to hold the diodes tightly in the sockets. Even with all desoldering and resoldering they work great and no burn outs. Would like to see a color code on the label of the packages of diodes as I can't read the language on the label. Not a big deal as a quick test and set of colors and that was done.
