I bought this rather randomly to add some more ports to my new PC, and it works perfectly for the job. The only con I can say it has is that you need to be careful when inserting the cables as the orientation of the port might make it so they don't fit properly.

The USB-A ports are wider than the physical slot opening in my machine (the same experience documented by at least one other customer). Fortunately, I only care about the USB-C port, which is slower than it should be (~160MB/s, when it should be ~500MB/s). The device was recognized under Windows Server 2019 on my Dell R820, without having to manually install any drivers, so that's great. If it wasn't such a pain to remove this from my server, I would return it. However, it is a HUGE pain to replace it, so I'm just going to be happy with the working USB-C port.Also, the company seems very responsive. I asked a question on here and they answered within an hour. It kinda sucks that the design of the USB-A ports is physically simply wrong.If I had to do it again, I would buy a USB 3.1 card with the USB-A ports turned 90 degrees from this one.

Well packed and looks high quality. Installed in an old HP elite 8100 desktop. It is installed very easily and there is a light indicating the connection status. It has four usb 3.0 slots, very convenient for multiple devices.

I put this card into my PC (AMD X570), it doesn't work. I put it into another 2 PCs in my home, no luck at all.

I was looking for a card which works with Windows Server 2012 R2 and this works really well.Be aware that if you use the default Windows drivers you'll end up with Blue Screen Of Deaths, so download and install the Windows 7 driver from Fresco's website. I suspect Windows Server 2016 and 2019 (based on Windows 10) will not require a replacement driver and should work out of the box.

Whilst this is extremely easy to install and works great, once the machine has gone to sleep it automatically unmounts any drives attached to it. The drives mostly remount, but on occasion, you will have to unmount & remount drives so that they show up.My machine is a MacPro with 1Tb internal ssd, 16Gb ram
