Remove the old, install the new. BOOM! I watched a couple Youtube videos on how to do this repair. It was easy. Turn off the power to the heat pump. Then you remove the screws that hold on the large cover (bevel) then four screws that hold the panel in place and tip it out. Then carefully one-by-one remove each small wiring harness from the old one and plug it in to the corresponding plug on the new one. There are five of these. Then replace the four screws, then put the bevel back on and you are done. The hardest part of this repair is getting the bevel holes to line up since this cover is large and wobbly. Be patient, once you get a few to line up the rest will follow. Don't tighten them until you have them all at least started.

As long as you know how to remove the part it is replacing and you verified that it needs to be replaced, your good to go! Take pics of the wiring before you remove. The new part wasn't 100% identical, bit the connections matched. Beats paying 3x for a service tech to install. 20 min

Came with Pentair manual but manual does specifically describe how to replace this component. It’s easy enough for anyone with a little mechanical aptitude.I took photos of the existing wiring because it wasn’t possible to move a set of wires from one board to the other while holding new board in place. It would be easy to get confused as to the color-orientation. Go easy when removing the wire clips as each has a “tab†holding the clip down against board (which you don’t won’t to break)

So happy, we received the new replacement control board just in time to heat the pool before the grandkids arrived. Besides the fast shipping, the price was very reasonable for the part compared to the local pool company who installed our pool was going to charge me. Great service guys!

Easy plug and play install. Heat pump now working as suppose to. The problem was the LCD display was not properly working/displaying characters but now the display is like new.

Well, not sure why Pentair doesn’t make its heat pumps and parts to survive the Florida sun, but ours did not, while the unit still worked, we could no longer adjust the temperature after just a few years. Bought this control board and it was very easy to replace and our unit is back working like new. We have bought a shade sail to install though!Unfortunately after 45 days, the control board stopped working properly (pool water temperature is reading high and heater will not come on - we did test the thermistor and confirmed it’s working properly)

I noticed the product was not new but handled before and now 56 days later the board is acting bad, no fan and no response for temperature adjustment so compressor runs all the time and freezes up the rad. Sent notice for return authorization and still waiting.
