Works like it should bring a first time pool owner. I bought this to drain water off the cover during winter months .i should have gotten a bigger one but that does the job

Bought this to remove rain water from a 15ft pool before I filled. This sumo pump has zero power. At that rate it's running it will take over a week to suction out 6 inchs of water. I will be returning this junk.

I'm using the pump to remove water from my above ground pool after a snow storm. As the snow melted I was able to get the weight of the water off my pool cover. The only thing I would recommend is that you warm up the drains plastic tubing because the way it's packaged makes the tube kink. But it works great!

After six months of snow and rain gathering on top of my 27' winter pool cover, there was quite a bit of water that needed removed before we could take the cover off and this did the trick! The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because it seems to run a little slow, probably because the hose isn't very thick. You can purchase ones that have thicker hoses but they're more expensive. You do need to check on it regularly to make sure it is still standing up and that it's in the water, otherwise it won't pump anything out. Overall a great value for the money and it does what it's supposed to do!

I just have a 15ft above ground pool and this worked absolutely perfect to take the water off the cover. Light weight and very simple to use. And bonus i received next day!!!
