I put this in a 1949 Ford with 6volt Positive Ground. The tractor starts faster than it ever has.I have provided some photos that show how I wired the module power and grounded the coil. Hope it helps

I have used Pertronix ignitions on several of my vehicles and always improve there performance and reliability. As soon as they need a tune up, I replace the points with a Pertronix system. I currently have six vehicles running on Pertronix ignitions and all are running great. I recommend them to everybody.

I will never adjust points again! I run igniters in all of my Julosapines! Runs like crap.. starts hard (if at all)... points are fouled or burnt... FIX- pull out the points and toss them. Put in a Pertronix igniter and POW, a world of difference!

The instructions did not match the item. They described screw holes that did not exist, they described the black and red wire, but there was no red wire, only 2 blacks. I watched a youtube video from 2013 installing a Pertronix ignitor in a Ford tractor, but it was not the same as this unit. Pertronix offers no online help. I'm sending it back. I'll have to stick to my points and condenser until they can upgrade and simplify their instructions. I'm handy, but I'm no engineer.
