I have been running a pertronix distributor and coil on my 69 f250 with a 351w swap for 10+ years now(120,000 miles since install). Im still running the same coil with 0 issues no leaks no problems whatsoever. Starts first turn every time, and has great response time. The build quality is what you'd expect from a coil. Price is fine for a upgrade from a stock coil, if it lasts 10 years you got your money back.

Likes-I have it in a Ford 351W installed as an inboard waterski boat engine and the boat has not run this great in years-great combination with the electronic points pertronix sells.Dislike:-it gave me a super fun shock when I was adjusting the timing but on the bright side I know its give a strong spark

Installed with a marine flame thrower II distributor in a Marine Ford 302 engine. The OEM coil is rated for 32,000 vdc, the Pertronix coil is rated for 45,000 vdc. Changed the spark plug gap from 0.032" gap to 0.042" gap. The boat fires right up and runs great. Have not validated if the fuel economy has improved or performance enhancements.

I upgraded from the flame thrower one to the flame thrower two. This coil runs much cooler than the flamethrower 1 , so i am assuming alot less enrgy is lost internally. I also upgraded the ignition to ignitor 2.

Es un buen producto, tuve problemas desde unas 2 horas después de su instalación, no pensé que fuera la bobina el problema, pero al regresar a la bobina genérica, se quitaron las fallas... cuales? Brincate del tacometro, motor inestable, me hizo cambiar cables, modulo, y pastilla captadoras del distribuidor... al cambiarla todo regresó a la normalidadNo soy experto y puede ser por la resistencia primaria. En verdad desconozco como afecta real y funcionalmente... o simplemente salió falla... la cambie y todo va bien.Agradezco a Amazon y su personal de apoyo por la orientación y ayuda recibida. Por ello evito ML.

I purchased this product to replace the exact same coil that was on the tractor for years. It lasted 3 months and started leaking oil from the top. Probably got a faulty coil. I should have bought the cheaper option
