I have two of these, one I use for Sichuan peppercorns and one for smoked peppercorns. Works well for both and the grinder is attractive. So far holding up well.

Grinds pepper very well. We are tending to put more pepper than needed on food because it is such a pleasure to grind. We chose acrylic because we wanted to see the amount of pepper corns in the grinder. Being Peugeot, we expect the grinding mechanism to last for a good while.

Trying to use this with locally-made smoked salt of inconsistent coarseness resulted in jamming of the grinding area and no output. I have another version of this salt grinder with the same grinding design that works great with coarse, plain, sea salt. Unfortunately, it does not work for the artisanal salt that I bought it for.

I have one of peugeot's acrylic papper mill for years. And it serves me faithfully. Like transparency and clarity of acrylic body. Papper mill I have is with acrylic head. Here is wooden, I think is weak link in construction. Because the wooden parts in kitchen never serves for decades. Prefer acrylic head, bought due to the good price for item. Peugeots mills have great history, steel mechanism, designs, reliability and durability especialy the not wooden mills. Wooden mils need to be cared carefully (moisture, storage, use).There are ceramics mrchanidm, but afraid of fragility of ceramic and find one chip in food.They changed design of crown knob. And now it is more usable and beautiful. Easy unscrew. Older was smaller and fully clean. This new is good for catching and adjusting or openning/closing.Very good salt mill.

Not as advertised. The item description says: "READY TO SEASON — Our mills come partially filled for immediate enjoyment with our Tan Hoi black pepper from Vietnam." But the pepper mill I received was empty.

I have tried a few Chilli grinders none come close to this one. Works very well and as you would expect, similar output to their pepper grinders. Don't hesitate you won't be disappointed!

ne avevo già uno, vetusto, sempre della Peugeot; dopo una decina di anni si è rotto un pezzo interno in plastica rendendolo inutilizzabile.questo nuovo modello è molto più robusto, plastica più spessa, con un meccanismo molto più efficace.costa un po' caro, ma lo consiglio, ottimo piccolo attrezzo.

Excellent produit, très bien adapté à la mouture des piments grâce à ses modifications intégrées. L'arôme et les saveurs sont parfaitement restituées. La qualité des moulins Peugeot, revisitée avec réussite.

Manchmal überlegt man länger, ob man eine Anschaffung tätigt. Diese Chili-Mühle hatte ich lange Zeit auf meinem Wunschzettel..der Preis hat mich zögern lassen. Nun kommt Schärfe in meine Speisen via Chili ...und die günstigen Chili-Mühlen ( um die 20€ preislich ) ...hatte sehr oft miserable Bewertungen, die ich nachvollziehen konnte. Gerade im Bereich der Küche schau ich genau hin, was ich investiere. - auch um Investionen nicht doppelt zu tätigen. Das hätte ich im Bereich Küche & kochen mehr als einmal.Mein zögern..nun ja ~ es hing auch mit der Höhe der Investition zusammen..aber ich bin glücklich, dass ich sie erstanden habe.. die Chili-Mühle.Mahlt hervorragend. Wahrlich 'klein'.. Mahlwerk macht von der Optik ...einen sehr guten, stabilen Eindruck.Bin durch und durch begeistert. Das Chili, was in der Mühle war habe ich gewechselt.. vollkommen ohne Probleme. Wollte gerne mein eigenes Gewürz nutzen. Für mich eine Investition, die sich gelohnt hat. Absolute Kaufempfehlung.
