Why do you need to test regularly phosphate level?
Maintaining a pool requires continuous efforts to balance the chemicals, and one crucial aspect is checking the phosphate level. High phosphate levels can lead to undesired waterborne organisms' growth, which is why our phosphate test kit comes in handy.
How to use it? (Important)
Step 1: Collect the water sample
Take 5 milliliters of water sample from the pool using the provided test tube
Step 2: Insert the test strip
Insert a water test strip into the tube and seal the test tube with the cap, then the corked tube is shaken for 10 seconds.
Step 3: Wait 2 minutes, remove the strip
After which the strip is allowed to soak in the tube for 2 minutes, remove and discard the strip. If there is phosphate, the color of the water will turn blue.
Step 4: Compare the color of the Water
Compare the color of the water in the test tube with the color chart on the bottle to get the test value.
Notes:
- Keep your hands dry before taking out the strips.
- Please read it under the natural light.
- Do not touch the test areas with your fingers.
- Do not remove the desiccant packets.
- Cover and tighten the bottle cap after each using.
- Store in a cool, dry place and away from humidity.
- Please wait patiently according to the recommended time.
- Under sealed conditions, the product is valid for 2 years. Please use the test strip within half year after opening for accurate test results.

I have a saltwater pool; I really want to use a product I can count on every time.Like any test strip keep an eye on Expiration Dates.

Despite following the directions to the T, I was unable to get an accurate reading, or any reading for that matter. I already knew the water had high levels of phosphate because I had just had it tested at a pool store.Despite my phosphate level being in the 200s, as you can see from the photo, this kit did not register a reading. I also don’t understand why there are 6 indicator squares on the strip; the kit does not explain why.I’ll give the benefit of the doubt here and assume that I did something incorrectly (twice), and that there's a good reason for the 6 squares.At least the price for the 50 strips is reasonable.

I like these, far cheaper than the big brand name one and worked just as accurately as you presume the others do. These are very easy to read and use which I like. Just dip in the water, shake and wait for results. Price was good, expiry date is also good and you get loads in the container.
