I got this to add some acoustic elements to my drum machine beats. Not a drummer. I saw some videos on how tune a snare, tuned it tight, put some gaffer tape on it to mute it a bit, and I was set! Great for practicing. I practice with both brushes and drum sticks. I also think it sounds good, but I'm no expert. Just a fun thing to have to bang on throughout the day.

This snare drum is amazing! It has good drum heads so if you're low on cash you won't need to replace them immediately. It has good hardware other than the tension rod washers. It's great for kids and adults! If you're looking for a cheap but good snare buy this Griffin Piccolo.

Great project snare if you want to replace everything but the shell and rims. I'm still having trouble finding a new throw off that will fit. With what's existing and just replacing heads it still sounds nothing like a typical piccolo the snare just won't tighten enough. Keep in consideration this is a cheap snare. I really only bought it because my last name is Griffin and thought it would be cool to have a Griffin snare hahaha

I’ve been a percussionist for 30 years (not professional). This drum is cheap, and it shows. But for the price, it works well, and would serve anyone well as a beginner’s first snare, a practice drum, or a backup. I purchased it to be part of a portable suitcase drum kit for camp and small spaces. It is perfect for my needs.Even beginners will want to change the heads and lube the tension rods before any real playing. Other than that, not bad for $38.

Better then expected. Didn't even had to tune it. Verified with a tune bot and it was perfectly tuned. Started to play out of the box. Great quality and it looks great.

You don’t always have to spend a fortune on percussion! This was a very inexpensive piccolo snare, and was my sons favorite Christmas present. He is a percussion name brand snob to boot! So I was very surprised that he loved this so much!

It sounds like a 200 dollar snare if u tune it right get new wirings and a new head it sounds bright and when u a just the knob u can make it a high but not with an after affect but if u loosen it it sounds with the after affect but anyway it sounds perfect
