I’m a happy go lucky kind of gal, not into the drama. My aim here (no pun intended) is not to bash Pinty as I’m a loyal customer of their products, but to bring attention to always being prepared, or for better words, have a backup plan if something goes array.I purchased this Pinty laser scope to mount on my Mossberg 88. The fit on the top Picatinny rail is snug / solid. Please note: After reading a few reviews that complained about the mount failing, I beg to differ. The mount has three screws two of which hold the mount to the rail and one that holds the knurled scope to the mount. Don’t be a wussy, tighten the screws with the supplied Allen wrench and rest assured it will survive the onslaught a 12 guage can deliver.I performed a bore sight with my sighting kit and was able to adjust the scope to where I believe I’m comfortable enough to take the gun to the range. The adjustment knobs for elevation and windage performed as expected.Pinty claims the reach of the laser is 300m well over what would be needed for a 12 gauge and I must say it’s pretty bright with no distortion at approximately 100 yards the distance I tested it at.The only thing that griped my A$$ was the supplied tape for the finger switch. It was totally useless as all the glue came off the hook and loop pads and remained on the storage strip which they came attached to.Being the woman who thinks ahead I had in my little pink tool box 10 lb 3M “hook and loop†pads to supplement the crappy ones sent with the scope. They worked like a charm to mount the switch exactly where I was comfortable pressing it.All in All I’m a happy Gal this being my third Pinty scope. With the exception of the crappy pads I would have given 5 stars, but something so simple like a 1/2 penny mounting strip cost a star.If you’re looking for a great inexpensive laser scope , this may very well be a match for you. Just make sure you have on hand replacement mounting pads and all will be well.In closing I’m not a bit sorry for this purchase.Be safe and happy shooting.Update: Range tested with 15 rounds of Remington 00 BK and the mount is as secure as when I installed it.

First, I did not buy this for a gun site. I got it because I needed a low power laser for setting up prototype optical systems. At 532 nm 5mw is easily visible during the daylight, and dazzling bright at night. For optical experiments it is the perfect amount of power, for a gun site it is bright and visible on shaded areas during the day. Remember approximately 3mw of sunlight enters your eye as diffuse radiation. 5mw is nearly nearly double that, and it is coherent radiation. We do not look at the sun because our pupil magnifies the optical density on our pupil approximately 100,000x. Needless to say, the laser is dangerous to your eyes if viewed directly.QualityThe quality of the machining and anodizing of the aluminum is exceptional. To buy similar machined optical parts would cost hundreds from optical companies. I'd go so far as to say it's aerospace quality. The laser has extremely low divergence and a very round gaussian beam. I was not expecting this from a $20- consumer laser product. The X and Y adjustments are very precise and offer notched indexing that keeps the adjustment firmly in place. What I really like is that it can be switched on without a momentary switch as found on laser pointers, and this product is less expensive then so called -high end laser pointers. If one wishes to have a momentary switch it includes a coiled cable with a remote switch, presumably so a marksman can easily turn it on or off in whichever position they prefer on the gun stock.Highly recommended for science experiments and rifle enthusiasts.

Haven't had time to shoot yet, but it has clicks on both adjustments, so it should hold zero better than the other lasers at the same price range.Out of the box, I only have two complaints:1. It's just as big as a laser and only holds a single CR123AW battery that's does not come with a charger.2. Both body and pressure switch are small, and the pressure switch only has momentary mode. Now I pointed out the bad things, here's what I like about it:1. At least it comes with a tail switch. I bought a chinese pressure switch clones for high end lasers that clamps on picatinny rails and has both momentary and latching switch. All I have to do is splice and solder the wires.2. Body and mount feels secure. Be careful when using your allen wrenches though. Small nuts and bolts that come with budget accessories tend to strip or break fast. I suggest use loctite or other thread lockers, and tighten the bolts snug. The body's about 1" in diameter, so if you break your mounts, you can find 1" flashlight mounts for shotguns tubes, picatinny, mlok, and keymod just about anywhere. (I wish it comes in mlok though because I had to buy a rail adapter for my handguard)3. The dot is big and bright. Unless you're planning on shooting a squirrel on the heart, you can probably get good 1-2" groups with the laser alone. I used to get red lasers because reviews say that "they're more visible on different color backgrounds". This big green dot contrasts pretty good on any color both night and day.Last comments on its use for new gun owners: spend money on ammo. Idk why people buy lasers that cost hundreds of dollars. Invest on CR123AW and chargers because a lot of accessories use the same stuff. Don't get lost on finding the top of the line lasers. They're just backups if you have to hip fire your long gun or if your sights break. Overall pretty good quality for the price. Won't advise for short riffles and definitely not for handguns unless you want to sacrifice all the grip spaces.
Great cable just what I wanted

Super powerful laser. Lights up a dark room. Easy to mount. And super nice pressure switch highly recommend and will buy more for other guns.

Shipped quickly, quality seems nice for the price. Also very bright can be used in daylight.

Honestly I didn’t expect much when buying for 40$ but honestly I’m pleastly blown away !! The product has solid weight to it and feels sturdy and it comes with two mounting brackets and battery included and has separate backing for button attachment ! The laser is so bright I shone it out the window about 600 feet away and the laser showed up like it was 2 feet in front of me.The adjustments also actually work very well and are clearly labelled and are extremely user friendly when trying to zero it in !Honestly for $40 buy this if you’re looking for quality for a good price !!

Sturdy stuff, the laser dot is visible through a scope pretty far and it's easy to adjust and fun for target practice. It comes with a scope mount which is nice so you can mount it so it doesn't get in the way of anything and will still fit in a nylon or leather carrying case. Zeroing is easy and for the price it's overall good.

Seems to be a powerful and durable product, quite bulky and the adjustment knobs should be much more flat to the barrel of the laser, great accessories of touchpad and mounts. concerned for the battery life but currently very powerful and works great! Used for astrology, and engineering construction sites!

It has enough adjustments to zero in to the target and make a 100 ft. shot easy.
