Great for watering plants at a slower rate (those that need it) and I like that this one has a cap! It keeps out bugs and other debris. These seem well made (haven't used them for too long yet) and are fantastic to place in planters when you can't water at home (vacations).

First, I want to mention that I received this product for evaluation. I planned to use the Terracotta Plant Watering Spikes - Large- Set of 4 with Lids Ideal for 8"-12" Pots for some plants in my garden. I expect that they are well manufactured and work well. This product has met all of my expectations, and the quality is great.I already have similar terracotta spikes from another source. They include a terracotta cap in case you do not want to use them with plastic bottles. In that case you fill the spike with water and put the cap to reduce evaporation.I use them with plastic bottles resting on top of the spikes to supply water to the spikes. Please note that the selection of the bottle size, pot size, and weather dictate how long the water lasts. These spikes will support 1.75 little bottles, as long as the pots are not located in a windy area. If this is the case, the bottles may fall when partially full.These spikes perform as well as the others I have. They are well manufactured, none of them were broken, and work well.

Really liking these Lola spikes so far. They work great for slowly watering your plants. I’ve put them in 4 different house plants and it’s made watering much easier. I just fill the Lola spikes every so often and they do the rest!They were easy to install,, even in well established plants. I probably did a bit of root damage pushing them in but the plants didn’t seem to mind. Ideally I would probably like to install them when I transplant instead of after the plant is so established in the pot. That’s what I’ll do in the future.
