It works great it looks good and it keeps people from riding up too close to me when I hooked it up to my truck some people just like to get too close to your car and I don't want to damage my vehicle so I put that in my hitch and wow they back off now and it looks really good it's very economical I'm 240 lb and it supports me no problem

I recently took the kids on vacation, and we traveled in our 2013 Toyota Sequoia. Previously, I just left the tow hitch on all the time, but more than a few people have banged their knees or shins on that, and everyone used it as a step. So I decided to just install an actual step. Installation is easy, but you have to install the provided stablity bar (it looks like a U-bolt) or it will move around and rattle horribly. Once the stability bar is installed, the step is completely solid. The steel is not super thick, but then, you aren't using it to tow things, it's just a step, and it makes it so much easier for the shorter members of the family to get in and out of the back of the SUV.Another thought I had is that, keeping it installed means that, if I ever got rear-ended, that step would likely absorb the brunt of the impact, crumpling in the process, and saving damage to my irreplacable SUV.

Works well as step or extended bumper guard. Not great for Tri -fold step tailgate. Tailgate will hit when dropped.

Installed on a draw tight frame hitch on a 1500 Ram pickup with 20 inch wheels with all terrain tires. Makes it easier to get in and out of the truck quicker and safer.

People suck at driving and lots of people like to hit your bumper when parking and then back up. This product has saved me thousands of dollars because just yesterday, I backed up and accidentally hit a tree in my yard and the only damage to my vehicle was sustained by this hitch bumper guard.. it bent but it did not let any damage happen to my bumper so, I just reordered another one... think about it, replacement of this product for a couple of hundred dollars or your bumper for thousands. No brainer even if you don't have a pickup truck, as long as you have a hitch, you're good!
