This will work on soft potatoes after you cook them, it won't work with raw potatoes. which i had in mind, I thought i could peel the potatoes and shape them into what i want it to look like. that is not how this work.

I bought this with a specific intent on making mashed potatoes. This is a well constructed device the handle, and the discs allow for various levels of mashed potatoes depending if you want them a little chunky or really smooth. It’s easy to operate. Appears to be a well constructed device And was a hit at Thanksgiving.

I've wanted a potato ricer for a really long time. This is a very nice one! it's has three discs for different consistencies. This is a quality one, the stainless steel is heavy duty. I like it a lot.
