I wanted to add a trim switch to the control handle for my 1996 Mercury Mariner 50hp outboard, and ended up getting this. It works perfectly with the standard quicksilver controls, and was very straightforward to install and wire up!

Had to change plug ends but work perfect no issues. Brought for my fire dept swift water boat.

While this is listed as a Mercury replacement, it can be used in the old Evinrude binnacles. I have an 03 Evinrude etec and this replacement worked well. The old Evinrude switches aren't made anymore. This one sticks out a little proud of the throttle lever but is a cheap alternative.

Wasn’t exact fit but I made it work what I needed to trim the boat seems to work out I’d order another on another day in the near future

Installed on 1989 Mercury Mariner and was plug and play and worked perfectly. If it breaks quickly I'll return to re-write a review, but so far so good.
