Replaced drivers side on Mazda 5 - took half hour to do and it works great. Thirty dollars vs $300 the dealer wanted.

Install is super easy. Plug the power/control wire harness, screw in the 3 bolts, done. Make sure you order the right motor. The are different Right to Left, they are like mirror images. Don't pay a mechanic to do this. Watch YouTube videos to learn how to remove bad motor and install new replacement. Do get the fasteners to hold the door panel in place. When you remove the panel, often the old fasteners break, especially on older cars.

If you are considering replacing this yourself in a Mazda CX-9, just do it. It takes maybe 30 minutes. You need a 10mm socket and extension, a Phillips screwdriver, and trim removal tools will help. Watch youtube videos on how to do it, there are several. I was able to change out the motor while only disconnecting the courtesy light; I gently set the door panel corner on the ground. Nobody seems to give this advice, so I will: if the window is not completely lowered, then it will start to drop when the motor is removed. So have the replacement ready to go and close at hand, or have a helper hold the window up. I've heard that the window falling can mess up the regulator, but I don't know this for sure. But overall... easy replacement. Pleasantly surprised.

Just hope it lasts. Lot cheaper than dealer part, but looks exactly the same as part replaced.

Worked perfectly for my 2014 Mazda CX-9 driver door (front left). Easy to install, there are some helpful clips online to help.To reset for 'auto open/close' do this:- turn ignition on (no need to start the engine)- start with a closed window- open the window all the way down- close the window all the way up and keep holding the button for 3 seconds after the window is closedAlso, I don't recommend using any metal tools to try to remove the door plastic cover. They can scratch the door or the cover. Use plastic tools (there are plastic prying tools sold for this purpose) or just pull with your hand from the front part of the door close to the bottom of the door with some force and the bottom part should come out. Be careful not to use too much force.

Great deal on this replacement window motor for our 2015 Mazda CX-9! I bought and installed driver and passenger front motors. Both of our front windows started getting the dreaded grinding noise at about the same time (hard pill to swallow for a car only 5 years old). As a result, the auto up/down stopped working on both windows. Initially, I tried to disassemble one of the factory motors, so I could take the cheap way out and replace just the stripped gear (~$10). FAIL. I broke a few tabs when trying to separate the gear covers, which is why I decided to just order the whole new motor assemblies. The passenger side was weird. Installed the motor assembly, but I couldn't program the auto up/down. Whenever the window would get to the top (closed), it would automatically roll half way back down. Tried to program several times with same result. I ended up doing a battery reset (take negative cable off of car battery for ~2 minutes, then putting it back on). After that, I was able to program the auto up/down on the passenger window, no problem. The driver side went without a hitch. Replaced the assembly, reprogrammed the auto up/down, done. (Roll window all the way down, then all the way up while holding for ~3 seconds).Happy wife, happy life!Edit: I did want to add an additional troubleshooting step that I did prior to ordering these new window motors, in case it may help anyone...I moved the driver side rear window motor to the driver side front window. Worked great, no more grinding noise, but I could not program the auto up/down, no matter how many times I tried, and even after a car battery reset. It doesn't make sense to me, because I assumed the auto up/down is a limitation/function of the switch itself, and not the motor. This still has me stumped- but at the end of the day, the new window motors I ordered and installed work perfectly for both front windows.
