This is a pretty solid pet door that can be installed in doors to allow pets to come and go without needing to open the door. I got this because my cat loves to go outside, but I don't like leaving my door open because that lets bugs in, and I live in a hot area, so it increases my energy costs to constantly open and close the door. This provides a nice solution to give him more freedom of movement with convenient locking optionsIt is made out of plastic that works well, but doesn't seem terribly durable. It is fairly simple to install, but I would recommend getting a professional to put it in if you don't have the right tools to measure and cut the area for the opening. This one seems fine for doors up to 2 inches thick. I have wooden doors, so it's pretty easy to cut through with the right toolsI like that it has several locking options. It can be completely locked or open, or it has options for in or out only. It has basic plastic turn knobs to adjust the setting. The door is pretty thin, but it does have some weather stripping to seal the sides and help energy efficiencyIt's a basic but effective small cat door. It does have a fairly small opening, so it might be small for larger cats and most dogs

Works great, easy to install, and large enough so that my 13 pound chunky boy kitty can fit through with no problem. It seems to be well made and the finished product looks great! Highly recommend!

Fits in the hole to replace a previous cat door that broke. However the door doesn’t open and close easily so it isnt really working for our cat. Hoping we can adjust but so far not so good.

This Premier Pet Locking Cat Door has a 4-way lock. It works well for my cat who goes in and out. You can lock it so they can only go in or they can only go out, so you don't have to worry about getting any unwanted guests that might try to come through the cat door. It can also be left open all the time or locked when you keep it locked. It's sturdy and my cat loves being able to go in and out when he wants to.

This Premier Pet Locking Cat Door is just what I was looking for to provide a way for my cats to access the catio we are building. We will be installing this in our basement window, to which the catio will be attached.This model is perfect, as it can be installed in materials from 1/16th inch up to 2 inches thick. We will be installing it in 3/16th inch plexiglass. The door appears sturdy but is fairly lightweight. There is insulation to prevent heat loss. The door can be locked when you want kitty inside and it can be set for enter or exit only if desired.The door opening does seem a bit small, but adequate for most cats. It is a nice looking unit at a reasonable price point.

We had to put up a temporary door at the bottom of our staircase for the cats. We have a two story home and when my daughter has babies or young children over I keep the cats upstairs. They are sweet cats that love interacting with the kids but they have sharp claws and it's better to be safe than sorry. Since the door is super thin it was easy for my husband to install this cat door. He has all of the tools and knowledge so I just assisted. You can lock this door so it opens one way, both ways or not at all. The build quality is nice with thick plastic. All three of my cats fit through just fine so it's definitely functional. This was just what we needed to keep the cats upstairs while I have little ones over. When they leave I can just unlock it and the cats can come and go as they please. This is also very handy when I'm vacuuming or mopping. It's a standard catdoor that fits perfectly in the corner of our temporary door. It's only been up for two days but the cats have all been using it. If they want to go upstairs or come downstairs I don't have to get up or stop what I'm doing to open the door because one of them is wailing to come down or go up. This might not seem like a big deal but with 3 cats I was opening and closing that door dozens of times a day. This is a good quality cat door for a fair price. Five stars!

This isn't as sturdy as the heavy-duty rectangular doors, but it's a good value and serves it's purpose. I like the option of easily locking the door to function as entrance or exit only.
