This is one solid roller and after the first use my knots were released and I felt so good. Will use it as needed and it is a great purchase. The product is solid and can take the weight of a heavier person too. Great for releasing the tightness after a hardcore workout.That being said, I would advise extreme caution while using this product especially, by novices. This product did not come with any instructions. So do not use it out of the package. Consult a product specialist or someone who knows how to use this product. If used in joints etc, it might cause a lot of pain. I am just not happy that there was no instruction sheet or manual in the package.If you sit for long hours, this is a must have. Love this roller.

This foam roller arrived very quickly, even though i selected no rush shipping i had it in two days time! It was packaged nicely, easy to open plastic covering the roller.The roller was not too big or bulky, and was lightweight. The black color was matte and it was very chic for a piece of workout equipment. It's hollow with plastic lining the inside of the roller, which makes it sturdy.This was my first experience in using a foam roller, but i have observed many people in my gym using them and took mental notes. Right now i have most soreness in my quads, so i got down on the floor, face down and put the foam roller under my hips. Leavning on my left side first, i rolled my quad over the roller with help from my arms pulling and pushing my body. I did that about ten times, then switched sides.It definitely helped release some tension in my muscles but i felt if i did it too long i would end up sore. Regular use will definitely be beneficial, especially on days i workout with my trainer.Im very satisfied with this purchase, and may order an other one for my friend who is also getting into working out!

I didn't know anything about foam rollers before purchasing this one. I looked up so many and read just as many reviews, feeling overwhelmed. I don't go to the gym, I'm just tired after working on my feet all day. My takeaway - it's not nearly as big a deal as it's made out to be. Hard, soft, patterned, expensive etc. all you're looking for is some foam to squish your muscles. That being said, I do love this one! It's helped me massage out the tension from work (yay!)This product is a hard foam with bumps and a plastic tube. The tube keeps the foam rigid, so it doesn't sink into itself. Harder foam pushes deeper than soft, soft foam is gentle. If you have sensitivity, go for something softer than this. I don't find it "hurts" but it's a strong massage for sure. This has areas that are flat and bumpy. Both are nice, depending on how tired my muscles are! The lumps feel like a big thumb is pressing deep and hard into your skin & the flat area is just steady pressure. If you like the sound of one of those & not the other, find a roller with just that texture! If you like both, you've found a decent one!

This is a great roller; I've been using a larger roller for years and decided to get a smaller one that fits in my gym bag to use after working out. This roller is firm, for athletes, flexible people, and those who do intense exercises. A massage roller is not supposed to feel good in the moment it's used, but *after.* This is a great tool for "rolling out" my spine, releasing the IT bands, glutes, quads, and isolated stretches of the calves and Achilles. If you experience bruising - visible or of the muscle - there are other factors at play, like improper use (going too fast) or a health condition. I recommend this for anyone who works out more than 3x a week!

IF you follow my reviews, you know that I'm a bit of a fitness junkie - especially after having 3 kids in 3 years (lol). For reference - I work out about 4-6 times a week, very strenuously. Anyway, a few months ago on the suggestion of a gym friend - I purchased a foam roller from Amazon, watched a couple of youtube videos on how to use it and fell in love. The problem? My husband has monopolized that roller, so I had to head back to amazon and order another. I did a quick search, saw the awesome assortment of funky colors, read the reviews and decided to order one! I actually like it even more than my first roller - it's hollow and the "foam" portion almost has this memory foam like quality to it that REALLLY makes it SUPER effective. I won't lie to you guys - the cool colors are what initially drew me in, but when I actually tried it out - I was SOLD! I'm confused about some of the reviews that complain about a lack of directions -- it's pretty simple to google a youtube on how to use a foam roller or ask a trainer how to use one. I've never heard of a roller coming with instructions!

The "knubs" are too close together to feel much impact. Not much different from a smooth rooller. And it's softer then I expected.

Also it is not the Gimme brand that has been advertised. Plus I emailed yesterday and I've had no response yet to rectify the issue. Of course is the issue is rectified with satisfaction then I will remove this review.
